Hello, I am Paul Carson and for me, CN Tax and Consultancy is the recognition of a dream. Having worked for over 20 years in large organisations constrained by red tape and negativity, I want to bring the profession back to its roots and just do what I am good at - saving people money! What’s not great about that?

I am a qualified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor(BA (Hons), FCA, CTA). I specialise in tax compliance and more detailed tax planning work but have extensive experience of all tax issues, having worked with both large and small companies as well as all aspects of personal tax for the individual. I am based in beautiful Yorkshire, although my clients range throughout the UK.

Most recently I was the Tax Partner at an independent firm of Accountants in Huddersfield, and prior to that I worked at a very large and well respected accountancy firm in Leeds. I have over 20 years in industry and am proud of my breadth of knowledge and expertise . Although a tax specialist, my experience covers all aspects of accountancy and business advice.

As a Yorkshire lad born ‘n’ bred, one might say I was destined to end up in a career which would help people save money. I have always loved my profession but over the years of working in very large, corporate environments I became aware that clients didn’t always seem to be at the heart of what I was doing. I felt that this way of working was taking me away from my roots and so I decided to set up my own business and bring my profession back to the way it was meant to be - a personal service for a clients’ personal financial needs, with the aim of saving them money.

I am a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT).
